Games to play while you wait

The checkout line, the bus that never comes, the doctor's waiting room, the boarding gate. Waits are short and unpredictable, so the game has to be too: open it, play for two minutes and drop it the moment your name is called.

Made for two-minute gaps

A game of Cartógrafo lasts about as long as an ordinary line. If your turn comes before you finish, no harm done: your best score stays on your phone and next time you try to beat it again.

For very short waits, the quiz: 10 geography questions with 4 options each. For long ones, the whole world map with its 197 countries.

One hand, sound off

You play by tapping the map with your thumb, and sound goes off with one button. Pinch to zoom to catch the tiny islands, and full-screen mode leaves nothing to distract you.

Barely any signal, barely any battery

The site is very light: it loads fast even when the subway or hospital network does not help, and it does not drain your battery like an installed game. It takes no space on your phone either.

Frequently asked questions

Which game suits a short line?

The geography quiz: 10 four-option questions you answer in a minute or two.

Do I lose the game if I stop halfway?

The game in progress, yes, but your best score on each map stays saved in your browser.

Does it work with a bad connection?

Yes. The site is tiny and, once the map has loaded, a solo game does not need a connection.
